Writing for your community: applying plain language

Our ‘Writing for your community: applying plain language online workshop’ runs for 2hrs and is open to anyone who understands the four guiding principles of plain language and wants to put these into practice.

This workshop will allow participants to have hands-on experience applying their current knowledge of plain language by:

• Converting a sample document to plain language using enliven Victoria’s conversion checklist

• Exploring the use of imagery to convey key messages

Our workshops are run online via Zoom and are capped at a maximum of 20 participants. They include discussions around case studies, facilitated group activities, interactive online tools, as well as practical tips and tricks.

After the workshop you will receive a certificate of participation.

If you are unsure if this workshop is suitable for you, please email us at Healthliteracy@enliven.org.au. We are happy to discuss the required knowledge level further.

Please note: our group workshops require a minimum number of 6 participants to run.
