Our Plain Language Lunch and Learn sessions are all about advocacy and education. We want to raise awareness of the importance of plain language and support communities and stakeholders to learn more.

Plain language myth busters

There are a lot of myths around plain language and when it should be used. In this session we address common myths including the use of jargon and reading levels. We also show examples of plain language in comparison to Easy English

There’s a lot of buzz about using AI to simplify writing. At first glance, it seems like a dream come true. But is AI really writing in plain language, or just sounding simpler? In this session, we will look at how well AI actually supports plain language, where it falls short, and what we risk if we rely on it too much without real plain language skills.
