Multicultural Heat Heroes in Action
The Multicultural Heat Heroes in Action project (2023 – 2024) built of Enliven’s broader planetary health and climate resilience work. Funded by Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation, Enliven engaged local ‘Heat Heroes’ to work collaboratively with multicultural communities in Cardinia, Casey, and Greater Dandenong to build heatwave resilience through culturally inclusive engagement and education – boosting heatwave preparedness and wellbeing in communities most impacted by extreme heat.
Own It! Cervical Screening Campaign
Our project was part of the national Own It! Cervical Screening (self-collection) campaign, funded by the Australian Multicultural Health Collaborative; a national campaign aimed at highlighting the option of self-collection for cervical screening.
The Multicultural Youth Mental Health Champions project (Mental Health Innovation Grants for CALD Communities)
This project was a collaboration between Each services Enliven and headspace Knox. Through the recruitment of seven multicultural Youth Mental Health Champions, it aimed to support the mental health and wellbeing of multicultural young people through innovative partnerships and meaningful engagement with Chinese, Sri Lankan, and Indian communities in the City of Knox.
Connect IT: Connecting communities through technology
Connect IT, part of the Australian Government's Be Connected initiative, empowered Australians aged 50+ by training Digital Mentors to boost tech confidence, safety, and skills within their communities.
Joey and the Heatwave
Joey and the Heatwave offers a fun, rhyming story for newly arrived families with young children. The book teaches heatwave preparedness and health risks using Australian animals and colorful imagery in an engaging format.
